Aaaaand……it’s been nearly a month since I last shared what’s been going on…
And let me tell you there’s been a lot. But also, it has reminded me that sometimes I need to take the time to reset, which was absolutely necessary. So here's a recap of what I’ve been doing the last month.

From one show and preparing to the next, there hasn’t been much time to stop and breathe. On top of multiple collaborations and school, the month has been a whirlwind. Honestly, I’m ready to go sit down somewhere, by a pool or some type of water (which usually I’m a mountain girl, so it’s kind of off brand lol).
But it has also been a great couple of weeks. I showed a small collection of new, made on the fly, and vintage Am.A-line (designed when I was back in college) pieces for the Midwest Black Culture Fest Fashion Show prior to Juneteenth as a celebration. The theme was Black Futurism in fashion. It was a lot of fun to pull out some of my older pieces and get a different crowd’s response.
Along the while, I’ve been working on a collaboration with my fellow creative,
. We’ve been working together for the last couple of months to come up with pieces that focus on our strengths in extending the lifecycle of our clothing. The best part about this collaboration is that we’re learning from each other and not putting loads of pressure on each other. So we’re doing a bit of redesign, upcycling, and a lot of different mending techniques that will tie in together. (Plus, I highly recommend you go check out her page .)Then! As you all know, I’ve been in my summer semester in the midst of it all. And as interested as I am in the topics, time has not been my friend. I’ve been sewing while listening in on class most weeks and rushing to do assignments the night or two before it’s due. Trust me when I say that that is not my jam either, but I’m getting through it. Hopefully by next week, or the end of the semester in a few weeks, I’ll actually be able to share and comprehend all that was thrown at us in these last 12 weeks.

And this weekend, I will be showing my collection at the Greater Cincinnati Urban League’s Luncheon. 10 looks will grace the runway. One of which I am currently working to finish before tomorrow evening. Otherwise, I whipped out 2 brand new looks this week and finished up a few raw edges on some others.
So all in all, there’s some traction being built and I’m just working along the line without thinking too deeply into what I have to get done. Because we all know that’s where overwhelm lives.
But until the next time, be steady.
So impressed by you always! And you absolutely deserve some rest and down time so I hope you get that soon 💕
